Here are a few shots of the
track, with a few obstacles starting to shape up. The
lanes are 40' wide with a 16' buffer between them.
The D6R made pretty quick work of our piles.

There is 4' of packed show
covering the entire track and all the jumps and bumps are
on top of that.
The snow guns are from
Carl
Whittier in Whittier Canada. When properly set up
all I can say is, they're incredible. When the air
and water temp are perfect and the ambient is about -10 f.
these guns will get it on and make more snow that 1 guy can
possibly keep up with.

Each pile is about 8 hours worth
of blowing. Each gun makes two piles between every
move. We were moving every 8-12 hours. Each
pile is about 100 cu yds of beautiful packed snow.

Each gun takes 50 gpm of
water @ 250psi and 85 CFM of air @ 100psi. We drilled
a 10" well and our water pump is an 8" submersible with
a 20HP 3phase 480v motor. We used two IR 185 air
compressors and a 45KW generator. Fuel consumption
not including the Dozers was 125 Gal of diesel a day.
Needles to say we just about whipped after this project.
